    Talking super genetic stripe.

okay so ive been looking around and i have to say that as of now my favorite bp morph is a super genetic stripe.... and i was just wondering how in the world you would make one of these it looks nothing like any other morph (other than the normal genetic stripe). so my real questionn is what would i need to make one of these? and what are the odds....

    thanks, Mike H.

    Re: super genetic stripe.

Can you point us to this animal? I know about super stripe (a combo of yellow belly and either specter or whirlwind) and genetic stripe (a single recessive). But I find a new name everyone seems to know all the time so maybe super genetic stripe is code for double homozygous genetic stripe and pastel for all I know.

    Re: super genetic stripe.

no, ive never heard of it either. he might be refering to the super striper, which is NOT a genetic stripe. it got more like 3 or 5 stripes really, and is its own recessive morph, tsk had em for 10k, for hets

    Re: super genetic stripe.

upon further inspection the super stiper is also the super stripe ( gg multiple names for single morphs, stupid people wanting to feel special ) but either way, neither the super stripe or tri stripe are "super" genetic stripes.

and yes 20k for a visual and 10k for a het, i saw the add for them on kingsnake several months ago

op: do you have a pic of what you are talking about?

    sorry,
    Mike H.
Buy a genetic stripe and a super pastel. One male the other female.

Breed them, you have ALL pastels het genetic stripe.

Keep back a male and 2 females = super pastel genetic stripes

    Re: super genetic stripe.

I hate dealing with 66% het's. If a super pastel genetic stripe were my goal I would buy a Pastel Het Genetic stripe female today and raise it up until ready to breed.

In a couple years the price will come down some and you can get your Pastel Genetic Stripe male to breed with her.

    P GS X P Het GS = 1/8 Super P GS

u wouldnt have to deal with possible hets. super pastel x gen. stripe= 100% pastel het (100%) gen. stripe.

pastel het x pastel het- super pastel genetic stripe.

i think this way would be the samrter to go. plus u can efford them now- super pastels and genetic stripes are not that expensive...

    Lightbulb Re: super genetic stripe.

okay..... theres one thing i still dont get about the whole genetics thing if genetic stripe is a genetic mutation than that meant that there is a possibility of them being in the wild? and plus many others like albino and all the others genetic mutations. whene i try to think about this stuff it keeps me thinking for a while..... lmao!
