    Question proportional thermostat, which one?

I'm lookin in to a thermostat and it's all new to me so I have been searching the web for info.. I have found a herpstat by spyder robotics for a good price and it sounds like it does all the same stuff as the helix dbs100 but I need some experiance help on this matter.

    Spdyer Robotics http://www.spyderrobotics.com/products/herpstat.html

    Helix DBS1000 http://www.spyderrobotics.com/products/herpstat.html

I'm in the process of making custom cages and want it to be done right in all the important areas (which is the whole thing lol)

    Thank you in advance

    Cheers

I use Helix, but if you're doing multiple cages maybe a Herpstat Pro would do the trick.

    Re: proportional thermostat, which one?

go with the herpstat i have a herpstat 2 and a helix and i wish i could go back and get another herpstat instead of the helix. its not that the helix is horible but its not as good as the herpstat at all. herpstat has more options, easier to program, keeps track of high and low temps, has a temp alarm, has night drop built in, and i think that you can even make it a on/off if you wanted as well.
