Is it the Flexwatt or Thermostat??
Ok so I have my rack built and I ran the flexwatt in a looping S pattern from one shelve to the next without bending the sliver part as to not disrupt the connection b/w the flexwatt. It is 1 continous strand. Now I have 3 accurites in 3 tubs, 1 on top, 1 on bottom and the other in the middle. I have my Ranco at 92 and the top reads 89, middle 92 and the bottom 97!!?? I don't get it. The probe is covered with foil tape on the middle row but the rack doesn't have sides on it. Acting as an open rack right now. Sides will be on in a few weeks letting the stain and sealant air out. So I think this may be the issue.
Has anyone have a prob with the flexwatt not being the same temp? Or the Ranco?

Re: Is it the Flexwatt or Thermostat??
Are all the tubs set up exactly the same (mainly I'm thinking of air holes -- less holes in one tub vs. another might = more heat)?
Did you try switching the accurites around? Maybe they are giving bad readings, or are in need of new batteries?
Just a couple of variables to possibley check...

Tubs 1 and 6 are the same and read 6 degress difference but I thin I found the prob.

Try putting all the acurites in the same tub and see if they match up. I've had a few that gave different readings.

You have the opposite problem of most. Hot air rises so the higher bins are generally warmer. Mind you, if your connection is bad, the heat tape closest to the connection will be hottest, while the tape at the other end will not get as hot.
