    Think of it this way: a parent can only dictate HALF of an offspring's genetics.

    For any "super" aka homozygous trait (includes visual recessives) to appear in an offspring, both parents have to be carriers of the trait (either heterozygous or homozygous).

    If a parent is homozygous for a trait, they are guaranteed to pass their half to all offspring.

    If a parent is heterozygous, there is only a 50/50 chance for each offspring that they will pass that trait along.

    i have read that the caramel's have ruby colored eyes and the ultramel/crider line have dark almost black eyes!

    can anyone back this up?

    ps the ultramel i bought from rick cunningham has dark almost black eyes!
