    sexing pixie frogs

So i got a pixie frog at the show today. and was wondering if any one has pictures of how to sex them? iv read there head size dorsal stripe and sounds are indecators, hes about 3in give or take a few.

Also now there is some confrontation between my wife on I if he is dwarf or giant.

    So here he/she is CHUB-CHUB!

    Re: sexing pixie frogs

It kinda looks male to me. The dorsal stripe is no indicator of the sex. If it croaks it is a male, nuptial pads.

Also it is edulis. (dwarf) Better pics with a flash would be easier to tell for sure on the dwarf or giant, but I am pretty sure it is edulis.

Nice looking frog. I would remove the moss immediately though, it's a bad substrate for them due to being impaction risks, as well as if ingested it could wrap itself around the intestinal tract and cut off circulation. Cocofiber is the best bet.

They sell it for the same reason they sell heat rocks. Someone thought it was a good idea, found a market for it, but it turned out to be a bad design for the pets.
