Egg incubation container technique question...

When I put eggs in a container to be incubated, I have always given the eggs plenty of room...no contact with eachother, sides or top of container.

I may come to the point this season where I max out my incubator with egg boxes...I plan on building another incubator next season. I may have to reduce the size of an egg container or two to fit all the clutches in. If an egg is touching the side or lid [plastic] of the container...will this effect the outcome vs the egg being isolated as previously mentioned?

I wouldn't think it would. I mean after all, in the wild they're all touching each other and her and the ground, so I dont see why it would be a problem, but I could be wrong since plastic isn't exactly like the ground lol.

I use 6 qrts. and always have my eggs touching. I have rammed a 9 egg clutch in a few of them. I NEVER want them touching sides or top -- once box begins to really sweat the last 25 days the eggs could get wet.

This was my thinking on this as well.
