butter or lesser?
bit confused, wot is the difference (if any) between a butter ball and a lesser platty?
some people say they r the same and other sites have them as bein different.
plannin a lesser male in future 4 breedin wi a mojave and a pinstripe but wondered if maybe a butter (if different) would produce better resulting morphs.

Re: butter or lesser?
Depends on who you ask.. To me they are the same thing..

Re: butter or lesser?
Some people do believe it is is just a different strain of the same gene. I, like some others, believe that the butter will hold its buttery yellow color through adulthood much better than a lesser. Lessers are generally a different overall color and lessers that hatch out with alot of yellow usually lose that yellow with age. IMO

Re: butter or lesser?
does tis then mean that they will both produce the same results when breeding and that a butter will still produce a BEL when bred 2 a mojave?

Re: butter or lesser?
Butter's = more yellow
Both are very good looking morphs.

Mojaves, Butters and Lessers can all produce BEL's.

Butters = more yellow = myth
They are the same to me, and at this point so many "lessers" have been sold as "butters" by people trying to make a few extra $$ there is no telling what you are buying in many cases anyway. Just find the nicest snake you can and you will be happy.
