is this normal?
I have dealt with boas and corns alot, but just got started in balls about 3 years ago. What's with the "hunger strikes? My 0.2 het albinos haven't eaten since Janurary..ok..... but my 0.1 orange ghost , 0.2 mojaves and vpi axthantic just started to eat again( after 2 1/2 months) ... but in the same week.. my 0.1 cinnamon, 0.1 pinstripe, 1.0 spivey just went on a hunger strike( 4 weeks now). None of these were bred, as I know that makes it happen. The snake room is back up to temp.. Nothing else has changed and I was hoping to have some of them to size for breeding and I'm getting frustrated. heat tape brings warm side of their tanks to 87 degrees and room temp is 81..
Thanks, Dan

I wouldn't worry too much just yet. There are quite a few posts on here recently with the same 'problem'. Our BP has yet to eat. Seems like this year our ol' Humphrey here is taking his time coming off of his winter feeding schedule also. It's been about 4-5 weeks now. When he refuses I try a few of our tricks and if that still doesn't work it's back into the freezer (the rat, not the snake) and we try again next week. I don't even bother him in a day or two, I just wait until I rotate back through again to the next regular feeding cycle.

If the room temperature dropped then you might have your answer
I keep my snake room at 80 degrees all your round and rarely deal with snakes not eating.
Only my breeders go off feed during the winter.

room temp.. actually, I have been raising the temp slowly over the last 6 weeks on the heat tape. the room stays about 80-81 degrees. I use a oil circulated heater, a small fan heater for quicker temp raises and a small fan in the corner. 4 thermometers around the room to watch.... I'm not worried really.. but alittle frustrated.. yeah... The pin and cinnie are both over 850 grams.. and my spivey is right at 500 grams... was hoping to breed all 3 next fall.. depending on how long the hunger strike is.
