Was a great day. I have been a bit limited net wise the last week, just wanted to get through the b-day and the anniversary of the fire. Once the second passed and I had the b-day to look forward to, then I just got kinda giddy and have been riding that wave since Sunday.
Ate pulled pork and potatoes for supper tonight, listened to Lloyd Cole, drank red beer, smoked just enough cigs, and then fed the snakes... now it is time to hit the sack.
Thanks for the kind words and the b-day wishes, I do appreciate it so much.

PS: The new present is trying to take my arm off so no playing with her yet.
PPS: And NO poutines... and on Sat the official party is at a Sushi joint, then off to an 80's bar to hang with aging punks and goths. Lots of Bauhaus, KMFDM, Front Line Assembly, and Nitzer Ebb... maybe a poutine after the bar.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I knew there was something about you I liked!

I swear there are times I turn my head and can still feel that fuschia mohawk resisting the wind. Gotta love phantom 80's hair. You would love this bar, it is a time capsule of the good stuff that happened in the 80's and early 90's.
But Montreal is a great city for gigs. I have seen KMFDM, Nitzer Ebb, and Skinny Puppy recently, but missed the tickets for Combichrist, so have to catch them next year.
We have a music festival next month, 3 days, and first day is pure old school industrial bands only.

Re: Happy Birthday, Bruce Whitehead!!!!!!!!!
Not sure if this will get lost in this thread, but we have a gift for all our friends... not an expedient gift mind you, but a gift.
As many remember, my birthday was two days after our place burned down, and I was just in a state of complete shock. I turned 40 on my friend Colleen's couch with 100 rodents in her bathroom, and close to 50 snakes in unheated tubs in her spare room, 3-5 snakes per tub.
This community saved my animals, and saved my soul. You guys helped us get re-established and helped us get our family back home in record time.
I lost that season, but am having what looks to be a good one so far. Python gods willing. Everytime I walk into my humble snake room I am reminded of what everyone did.
And with the anniversary of the fire passed, and my birthday here, Jerome and I wanted to be able to say thank you.
Judy has sent me a list of the email addresses of all those that donated VIA paypal. No worries, completely anonymous. When this season is over I will use the profits to commission a limited edition run of the painting that is my avatar on the site (the rat on the ball). "stanley on the ball"...
When we left our house we were barefoot with Stanley's cage and believed that we had lost everything.
As we figure out how (and when we can) do this, we will send out a mass mail to everyone on the list, and if you want you can send back your mailing address and we will send you a signed limited edition print of our dearest boy Stanley BOO(!!!).
We have gone full circle and orbited around the sun once, so it is time to move on completely.
Again, thank you all so much. You saved my snakes and you kept my collection near.

That is so cool. Just a couple weeks ago I was talking to a friend about old school industrial bands we use to listen to. He was surprised to find out I have CDs in my Jeep I still listen to all the time. Pop will eat itself (which I saw in concert with NIN some years ago), Machines of loving grace, Stabbing westward to name a few. I was just listening to Join in the chant by Nitzer ebb the other day!
