    Exclamation well crap!!!

so today when i got up the 1st thing i noticed was my normal bps tank was covered in condensation!!!! all 4 sides were covered in it.. so i jumped up took her out and then looked at my humidity gauge which was at about 97%!

i know that is WAY TOO HIGH!. what i think happened was she spilled a lot of water on the hot side of the tank and i had the top covered some what to keep humidity in. I don't know if i should be worried about her getting RI cuzz i have no idea how long it was that humid for all i know it was several hrs (all night) to like 10 min.. i have no idea at all ..

what you all think? just keep an eye out for symptoms? and what would those be? i know some but just making sure i know all of them!

Nothing to worry about. High humidity won't cause an RI. At worst it will cause scale rot, but that is only after many days and usually in unsanitary conditions.

97% is not that bad. I would be more worried about belly rot from the tank being too wet, but it wasn't that way very long so I am sure she will be fine.

    Re: well crap!!!

Yeah I wake up almost every morning to condensation on at least one tub. They usually drag the paper towels in the water bowl and it wicks through the whole enclosure making everything wet.

Nothing to worry about. High humidity isn't bad for them unless they are sitting in a puddle of dirty water for long periods of time, then scale rot is an issue.
