    Odd markings on head

My BP developed this odd marking on his head today. The spot in the very middle has been faintly appearing over the last week tho.

What adds to my worry is that he hasnt eatten for a little over 2 weeks. I heard him weaze a few times in his tank today also. He hasnt shed in about a month or more also.

Could this be the result of a shed cycle beginning? Or a respritory infection? My BP is also about 9 months old. Only went off feeding about 3-4 months ago, but only for a week.

    Any suggestions? Comments? Thanks.
(sorry for the pic, the camera dies and is charging more, betrter ones to come)

    Re: Odd markings on head

Just looks like he was rubbing his head on something. It happens sometimes when they are cruising around checking to see if you left the tank unlocked or something, haha.

That snake looks fairly large so going 2 weeks without food is not a big deal at all. A hatchling snake could go two weeks without food and be perfectly fine. Going off feed means that your snake is fasting, or not eating for long periods. missing one feeding here and there is not a fast, it is a refusal. What size feeders have you been offering.

The wheezing noise could be loose shed in his nostril so he may be shedding soon. Is his belly pink? Normally, a wheeze or a whistle is from shed in the nostril, not an RI. If you notice your snake drooling, open mouth breathing, bubbles coming from the nose and mouth, or clicking and popping noises, then he probably has an RI and needs to be seen by a vet.
