You answered your question before you asked it! Although it was better 10-15 years ago, there was a lot more 'new' things 15 years ago. Atleast thats what it seems like lol.

lol, I had a scrip to it about 10-15 years ago as a kid, and I'd been wondering how the mag was doing.

I agree that there was a lot more "new" stuff in the US herpetoculture even just a decade ago.

"Crappy" is in the eye of the beholder. If YOU enjoy the magazine, then it's not crappy. It doesn't matter what someone else thinks of it. I still subscribe, and while I don't devour issues like I used to, I still smile everytime I get a new one.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any other decent herp publications to recommend.
