    Egg tub question

I have noticed that in some pictures people use egg Crate ( I think that is what its called) in their egg tubs. It sits on the vermiculite and the eggs sit on the egg crate. What is everyones opinion on this? My first clutch ever is due to drop and everything is set up and running. I just need to decide whether or not to use this.
    Thanks

    Re: Egg tub question

well i did my first breeding this year...13 eggs....and i put them on the substrate, now with that said, what the "egg crates" actually are what is called a light defusser you can get it from lowes and cut it down and it keeps the eggs off the wet substrate and reduces the risk of mold......at least thats what i understand, but ive never done it.
