I put the SD's together finally..

Hoping to see some action.. The one up front is the male. The female is has more yellow..

5 days and nothing so far. They lay together but no tail action. Seeing as I only have these 2 SD's I was wondering if a shed from another species would help at all? The male has bred before but this is the females first year. Not exactly sure how to get her goin with no other retics to tempt them with. Any ideas?

Are you cycling temps? I don't own retics, and do not know about their breeding behavior, but some other species will start breeding with cycled temps. Good luck either way!

The female was cycled with the balls but Im thinking I may start misting them and unplugging their heat at night. The cycle period for them includes the decreased daylight but they can have night temps down in the mid 70's. I may not have dropped it low enough. Hmmm. Gotta try a couple new things with these guys.
