Re: albino caramel albino?
An albino-caramel albino would simply look like a regular albino since the 'regular' albino gene wipes out all the melanin that 'caramel albino ' would have. Would be slightly redundat combo to make IMO..I could be wrong though....

This is correct except for the part that caramel albinos also lack melanin. The regular albino mutation would remove the tyrosinase the caramel albino has, thus resulting in a normal looking albino.

Re: albino caramel albino?
I had this same convo with another breeder, and I had wondered...knowing that the two genes cancel out each other, if the double het was then paired with either anothe Albino OR Caramel wouldn't those separate genes produce more Albinos or Caramels depending on the pairing?
Hope this makes sense.

Re: albino caramel albino?
I think it would be a regular looking albino..my question is then how would you know you got it..

I had heard someone did the albino X caramel breeding last year but hadn't seen pictures of the babies or confirmation that they where the expected normal looking double hets. Can you pass on who produced your animal and confirm its normal appearance?

Re: albino caramel albino?
I am sure it would look like a normal albino. You would of course have the added benefit of being able to breed it with both the albino and or the carmel albino. So if the dbl het was a male you’d be set. Just get 2 het females one albino and one carmel and breed them both with one male!

You said it much more succinctly.

Re: albino caramel albino?
I haven't seen it in person but pictures of Kevin's albino ghost show it to be more orange then typical albinos. Maybe there would be a subtle difference in the albino caramel albino.
