Agreed but as the Tiger Pin was done a year or two back (Desert x Enchi x Pinstripe), I suspect the Enchi x Pinstripe has also been done and was simply called the Enchi Pin. I'm just trying to make the discussion a bit more interesting as I have a sense of humour!

Barczyk calls the enchi/pin a stinger blast. He's got some breeding right now. They look like a pin with the enchi coloring.

Ah, right. Forgot about that one. So much going on with P. regius mutations, it's hard to keep track.

Not sure if I like that name for them on either front considering it's misleading for those who associate stinger with spider enchis as well as those who associate blast to pastel pinstripes. Then again, I'm the guy who would forgo the originality of the names and spell out exactly what each one is. But I just like to do things methodically like that.

I'm the same way when it comes to calling them by the base morphs. As far as the the rest of it though, I've always taken the stinger as being associated with enchi itself. Bee means its got spider in it, so a stinger bee would be an enchi/spider. Same goes with blast and pinstripe. Lemon being the lemon pastel, and blast being pinstripe, which gives you a lemon blast as being a pastel/pinstripe.

there's no spider in there to give it the 'sting' name !?!
surely, the stingerblast 'should' be... enchi spider pin?

Hi Alan!
Doesn't "Blast" need to have a combination of Pinstripe AND Pastel in it:
Lemon Blast = Lemon Pastel x Pinstripe
Spinner Blast = Spider x Pinstripe x Pastel
Killer/Super Blast = Pastel x Pastel x Pinstripe
If so, this would make a Stinger Blast - Enchi x Spider x Pinstripe x Pastel????

I disagree. While most often whoever produces them names them, I find with any morphs in any snake species, it's what is popularly used that determines what a snake mutation is known as.
For example, BHB can call them whatever, but if people all start calling pin/enchi combos pinchis and pin/enchi/lesser combos pinchers, well, it won't really matter what BHB calls them.

Generally though, people don't widely use a name until the animal has been produced, and most go with what the person who sold them called them.
