    Question The shedding process...

So my bp has been looking like he's going to shed for about 5-6 days now. He has a pinkish belly, bulled skin, rubbing his head all over everything, and you can see the dead skin on his face like he's ready to shed. His eyes were also blue...I look at him today and all the other signs are still clearly there but now his eyes are like a black silver color...almost like he's normal....I'm having a really hard time understanding this if someone could give me their input that would be great.

He's probably "clearing" and will shed any time now.

Check out this artical for more info...

Just make sure to bump up the humidity to about 70% and he should take care of the rest...

    Re: The shedding process...

I have a couple that go blue and shed in about two days. I have another that goes blue and it takes another week. She looks terrible for about a week...then goes blue....then clears up and actually looks pretty good until you touch her...then...she sheds finally. Its always a process for her..poor thing!

Do they normally not eat right before a shed? If so, within approx. how many days before the shed would they stop feeding?

When mine is in "blue" she will not eat. Once she is in "blue" I dont feed her until after the shed. Mine usually takes about 4 days after the "blue" to shed.
