Re: New arrival = New set up
nice setup man! that looks like an odd sized tub, what size is it?
but yeah as far as the waiting goes, I know how ya feel. I was able to finally hold mine today after waiting 7 LONNGG days.
the very first day I got my pastel he crapped on me.. now the first time I hold him since, and he craps on me again lol too weird

Re: New arrival = New set up
Cheers for the comments.
The tub is 14" x 21" X 6.5"
Im gonna build a rack system out of them. I'm getting the mrs to get some more of these black tubs to make baby racks. Since i want to get another 3 females this year. They can all live in them till i can make an adult rack
Im struggling to find any suitable larger tubs as yet in the UK to make an adult rack system.
And yeah the whole leaving them alone part is hard. Just getting sneaky peaks in at the mo. Its ok will def wait but yeah defo hard. Just getting my adult one out a bit more to compensate.

Re: New arrival = New set up
Will the snakes think it's dark 24/7 ?
Wouldn't perpetual darkness mess with their heads? lol
I know they are nocturnal, but wouldn't black tubs throw them off any kind of schedule?
Pretty snake BTW

Re: New arrival = New set up
well the tub is not completely blacked out so there will be a difference between day and night.
others here have kept them in complete dark with no adverse effects.
I will only be keeping young snakes in these. I'm going to make a rack when i find the right size and quantity for adults.
I feel they would feel more secure in these for there first year with me. They will be in much larger standard tubs when they are breedable sizes.
