what snake?

i am looking to add another snake to the house. we have a carpet python and a blood python. looking to get something a little longer. nothing huge just a little longer. max around 9 feet. any ideas what to get? was thinking maybe a costal but not sure. would be nice to get something mellow and easy to get out and handel. we have 4 kids in the house and they like to look and hold.

I don't know overly much about them, but I would suggest a red tail. Males can be about 8 feet, and if raised with a fair amount of handling at a young age, can be an awesome family snake.

Get a Bredl's python (Morelia bredli). They're a bit bigger than your average carpet, and every one I've seen has been super docile. Plus I just love the way they look. I plan on picking up some within the next few years.

I like my Dumeril's boa. She's about 6-7 feet long, very docile, and heavy bodied, but not as thick as a blood python. She's got cool blushing and interesting markings. --Not a bad choice if you want something calm and big, but not too big.
