    Pinstripe blown out hemipenes?

    So i took out my pinstripe today and found him like this. Please can someone tell me if this is normal. I wasnt popping him or anything so i don't know what could have happened. Please help..i'm worried for the little guy

    I'd say that's a prolapsed hemipene.

    Muddoc made a really good thread on what to do with those here.

    That's a prolapse here what you should do for now http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...014250#1014250 and if it does not get better you will need to make a trip to a vet.

    Thanks..yeah it does look simliar. I'll try doing what the link explains and hope see what happens from there. Anyone know if this could have any long term effects?

    at the end of the link elise posted muddoc is saying that his snake started to breed again so its possible for ur snake to return to normal. but i guess it is possible for them to end up with damaged penes if it sits uncorrected too long

    Make sure you have damp paper towels down so that it doesn't get dried out. If it corrects itself and happens again you will want to make a vet trip as sometimes they need a stictch to tighten it up again.


    Mind you this has not happened to me but I read a lot.
