    Question

Trying to get my mind off this horrible day. Lost a friend to a motorcycle accident. For the hell of it i put my 900 gram male 100 percent het albino 50 percent het pied with my 100 percent het pied 50 percent albino. What is the outcome of the clutch if she lays. She 1300 grams btw. Im not expecting anything crazy but just wanted an idea of what to expect.

    Re: Question

Well its going to depend if you prove eather of the out. I you throw an albino in the clutch then the normals would be 50% poss het pied and 66% pos het Albino. If you throw a Pied out of the clutch the the normals would be 66% pos het pied and 50% pos het albino. If you prove all of the genes out then the normals would be 66% pos het Pied as well as 66% het albino. With genes if your clutch has even 1 then you have proven it out. Proven just means it is 100% het for that. If you breed 2 100% hets then your non exibiting would have a 66% chance of bieng het for that (or pos 66% het). If you breed a 100% het to a normal (or un proven) Then the normal looking would have a 50% chance of having the gene (50% poss het) Hope that makes sence and helps

Here is a link that might help explain it and figure out your chances of what. But remember that to an extent Genetics are a bit of a crap shoot and it can be randome as to what actually comes out. This will atleast give you an idea.

    Re: Question

thank you. thats what i was figuring. I pretty much get all the genetic stuff but the whole 100 percent het pied 50 percent het albino and vise versa was confusing the hell outta me. Just gotta wait and see what pops out.

    Re: Question

Yeah well it will all depend in the 50% proves out. With this being said it could take a few years to even prove that out.. 100% Het to 100% Het does not guarantee you will make the visual. So you can only imagine that a 100% Het to a 50% Het is even worse odds.
    I do wish you luck..

    Re: Question

If both prove out you do have a chance at the visual Albino Pied, but until either proves out you have to list the normals as 50% Het for Pied and Albino.
1.0: Honey Bee | Lesser | Banana Pastel Enchi | Clown 66% Het Albino
0.1: Kingpin | x2 Mojave | Super Pastel HGW | Albino | Sterling Mojave Pinstripe | GHI Pewter | Pastel Het Clown | Sable 66% Het Clown
