When they are dead would my answer. They aren't like rats where there is a breeding prime, they can go til 'they ain't got no more'

I believe it's Lawrence that has a 20+ year old female breeder.

Reptiles continue to grow slowly over the course of their life, right up until the day they die. Larger females usually produce larger clutches. So an old female will usually be bigger, and will lay more eggs.
From a species genetics standpoint, this is good. You want the old animals that have been successful and survived for a very long time to produce more offspring, and dominate the gene pool. From our perspective, this is also good--our older animals are even better producers than the younger ones.
This is typical of all reptiles--they do not undergo 'menopause', but continue to breed normally for as long as they live.

This is good information to know. I picked up a normal blushy female that is around 7yrs now. She is in the 3000 to 3500 gram range. She produced 9 eggs the year before i picked her up. I am planning on breeding her to my pied or my lesser.
Premises:
Dangerous animals shall be banned.
Ball Pythons are not dangerous.
Conclusion:
Therefore, Ball Pythons shall not be banned.

If I'm not mistaken, egg production will fall off and that will cause the breeder to pull the female from the program. There's no age or size, just production
