Follicles can be re-absorbed. Its not until Ovulation that the follicles become fertilized by the sperm. So keep pairing until Ovulation, or she rejects him.

Re: Seen this and was wondering???
Been very confused with my axanthic female, she looks like she is building, then went in to a shed that lasted 2 days! put the male back in the girl was zooming around her tub tail lifting, drumming her tail against the sides of her tub & sitting on top of the male..he wasnt intrested, he shed yesterday & within an hour they were locked..still locked today..weird creatures, dont have a clue as to whats happening with her now..think she just likes nookie ..bang goes my theory on her ovulating

Females will still lock up when in a deep shed, but males will not. If she is still acting like she is interested odds are she has not ovulated yet.

Thanks..have to agree I think..bummer
Pied female is refusing to mate , very lumpy looking & bowl wrapping at the moment, none of the females are feeding..your thoughts appreciated, this is my first attempt at breeding
Meant to add the axanthic was in blue on Sunday night, come Tuesday morning she had shed ( unusual usually takes 5-7 days ) do you think this could be a pre ovulation shed
