    Clumsy eater....

I think I have the world's clumsiest ball python. My female loves her rats, but has absolutely no idea how to go about eating one. She's tried butt first, hind leg first, etc. Tonight she attempted to drown it (she obviously has no clue that it was already dead when I gave it to her). Now she's laying on wet paper with a drowned rat draped across her back looking at me like "WTF???" Yeah...that's what I said

Yeah, you have to dominate that rodent.

My Pastel does this too, so I don't think there will be any problems. My Pastel always checks around then about 5-10 minutes later she takes it.

Speaking of this, We just fed ours. He killed the mouse. Then sat and looked at it for like 2 mins. Then made a trip around the tub, Then came back and like moved the mouse a bit back then ate it.

    Re: Clumsy eater....

These snakes sure do have some strange eating habits. I've seen some of the strangest ways a snake will eat a rodent. But I guess as long as they get it down, that's all that counts.

    Re: Clumsy eater....

Your snake will figure it out eventually.....lol. My bee has to rub himself all over it. My normal....she has to roam around and get in the perfect position. My dark normal.....wants it laying on the ground prior to striking. My new rescue....coils it for like 10 minutes and then eats it while still coiled tightly. The butter....well the butter is some kind of special....I am not even sure its dead yet....she just inhales....lol

They all have goofey little ways they do stuff. That is what makes them soooooo fun....each one is different.
