    ??? About Hides

hey all. I was curious about something. i was watching Videos on BP's and on some videos I seen where ppl was using Coconut shells for hides it looked really great. I was just curious if you could do that and it wouldn't be unhealthy for any BP

    Re: ??? About Hides

They sell coconut shells as hides for hermit crabs and stuff. It may look nice but a ball python will quickly outgrow it and if they were to poo in it (which they like to do) it would be a pain to clean. You can use them if you want but you will most likely be replacing them with different hides and cleaning them quite a bit.

There is nothing about the coconut shell itself that is "unhealthy".
