Depending who you bought her from she was probably never handled. In her eyes you are evil and trying to either hurt her or eat her.If you are gentle she will realize you are not going to hurt her and calm down

Re: My corn snake is evil!!!!
I tamed a 3 year old corn about 6 months ago.
Do you have everything set up to make sure she can feel comfortable? I assume you have enough snake experience to know how to get a cranky one out of the enclosure?
It'll take a little time, but I find that corns are pretty good about calming down, especially young ones.

Are you nervous when you try to handle her? If so she is probably sensing this.If your calm and gentle she will eventually calm down

Re: My corn snake is evil!!!!
When you were told she would calm down with time, people meant more like a couple months, not a couple days.
You shouldn't even be trying to handle her at this point. Give her some time to get used to her new home.

Re: My corn snake is evil!!!!
I sure hope you don't give up too quick. It really is an easy process. I don't know if you are imagining 3 hours a day or something. I think it took me 30 minutes 4 times a week or so.
I am in the midst of taming a big female ball python that I just picked up!
If you like her that much, please don't give up on her, just ask our advice and we, (as a forum), will tell you whatever you want to know.
