Banded, Striped or Both Kingsnake Q?

I asking on behalf of my friend.

He got himself an Albino Banded Kingsnake.

Question is, to me, it looks it got a striped on its back. Does this make the kingsnake a Striped Banded Kingsnake?

I have never heard them referred to as both stripped and banded, but I guess it could be, maybe someone else can give a more definitive answer..

Re: Banded, Striped or Both Kingsnake Q?

My first thought was that your friend actually landed an albino checkered garter. ha ha Then the head confirmed kingsnake in my eyes.

Though the pattern didn't look to me like it was entirely either pattern variation. So I did a search. It looks like there is an albino banded and striped California kingsnake.

Here's a couple links for you...
Click on the first two pictures and you'll see the color and pattern mutation your friend has here.
Click here and you'll see a picture of an albino banded California kingsnake here.

He's got some nice size on him - how old is he? You have a full body shot of him?

Niether, and either or.....if that makes sense. lol. It's known as an abberant pattern and some call it a banana morph. They are created by breeding banded and striped adults together. You can get banded, striped, and abberant patterns from one clutch.
