Is she glowing?
My normal gal Nerissa just shed 12 days ago, and now she seems to be much lighter... can you compare these before & after pics, and tell me if she's glowing? Keep in mind I just got a new camera, but the difference is just as evident with the naked eye. She's been paired with a few boys (pastel, spider & mojave) since November, so here's to hoping!

Re: Is she glowing?
While I'm posting about Nerissa, can I ask another question? She hasn't eaten since fall, and I've been in contact with her breeder about that... he said she did the same thing last year, so I guess she goes on seasonal fasts. When I got her she weighed around 1900g, and now she's 1750 - approximately a 150g loss in 3 months. Based on that and the pictures above, do you think her size is still healthy for breeding? Obviously it may be too late now, but in the chance she's not about to ovulate, I can stop mating her if she's too small.
Here's a better body shot from today:

Re: Is she glowing?
It's normal for ball pythons to go on seasonal fasts. I have an adult male who hasn't eaten in over four months. Doesn't look like your girl is at an unhealthy weight either. Good luck with her, I hope you get some babies.

Re: Is she glowing?
Thanks! I just picked up a sweet mini-fridge for free, so hopefully I'll have an incubator - and some eggs to put in it - very soon. Oh, and what do you think about my first question... does she look to be glowing?

That's what I'm thinking... her head looks considerably lighter than before, but her body isn't that much different. These BPs will drive ya crazy, huh?
