No one was mean or rude. Everyone who made a joke did it in a nice way. No one bashed you. You learned in the funniest way possible that ball pythons dont eat eggs. So why take offence? If it was me who posted this question I would have laughed at the replys as long as no one called me an idiot for not knowing.

If you spend enough time in the forums you will start looking for ways to increase the humor too.

Re: Is Feed a egg to my snake as balanced as a mouce

While no one may have meant to be rude, and were just having fun, try to put yourself in the OP's shoe's. He's new to the site, and everyone was having fun at his expense. You'd feel a little offended as well, even if those who were joking didn't mean to be mean, it still comes across as laughing at him.

While WE know that ball pythons are not egg eaters, someone who has just gotten their first snake and may have read about other species of snakes that ARE egg eaters may not realize that different species have different needs.

To the OP, I hope that you'll feel comfortable enough to continue to participate here and continue to learn. Feel free to PM a staff member (names in red or green) if you have a question but are a little gun shy right now to post it.

Welcome to the forum, sorry that this was your first experience with us.

I'm sorry but mice and rats are mammals if you didn't know. They do not lay eggs.

To the OP: There are snakes called Egg Eaters and they do feast on bird eggs or any eggs they can get to. They will eat rodents from time to time, but they eat what they are called, hence the name Egg Eaters.
