Help With Morphs

Okeetee corns originated in the area of the Okeetee Hunt Club, which I think was in Northern Florida somewhere (not very sure on that...). They are known for having bright reds and oranges, as well as wide black borders. Some people will use the term Okeetee for any corn snake that shares this look. Others prefer to reserve the term for those corns who can trace their lineage back to corns from the hunt club, and will somewhat jokingly refer to snakes that look like Okeetees but don't originate from that area as Lookatees. Yours doesn't have that Okeetee look, and since you don't know its lineage, I would not call it an Okeetee.

Miami corn snakes originated in the area of Miami, FL, and have red saddles with silver or grey background. Crimsons are a hypo version of Miamis. I think your snake looks much closer to a crimson or Miami than an Okeetee, but without being more sure of its background, my choice would be to just call it a normal.

To answer your specific question, no crimson is not a type of Okeetee.

As for the others, before I read this thread my guesses were:
1 - anery or possibly ghost
2 - definitely amel, possibly motley as well
3 - normal
4 - normal stripe or possibly hypo stripe (eyes are a giveaway it can't be amel, but also the amel stripes I have seen have been more red and less brown in their stripes)

Now that I've read the whole thread, I say just go with what Matthew (Blue Apple Herps) says, because he is one of the most knowledgable people who posts on this forum when it comes to corns.

EDIT: Of course, Matthew was posting while I was and he typed faster, so again I'm just saying "what he said".

Can you take pics without the flash? It is hard to tell with the glare. My guess with the glare is:
1. anery
2. amel
3. normal ( it doesn't look like an okeetee to me)
4. striped normal

The one that makes me do a double take is the first one. Couldn't that possibly be a Lavender? I know that some of the Lavenders look like Ghosts and vice versa. Reason I ask is because I have a Lavender hatchling, so was wondering if that's what my little guy will look like when he's all growed up.

But I definitely agree with Big Apple on the other three. Would love to see a full body pic of the 2nd pic....because that really does look like it could be a motley. Lovely group, though!

That first one is definitely NOT a lavender. Lavenders have a lot of variability when they grow up, but yours won't look like that. He may look similar as a hatchling but will change.

Here's a little "fast fact" history lesson: when lavenders first appeared, they were originally called mochas because as hatchlings they had a somewhat brownish mocha look to them (not all do; again lots of variability with lavenders!). It wasn't until they were adults that they took on a more lavender color. It was realized that mocha was an ill suited name for them as they didn't look anything like mocha color as adults.

So yours may be one of the more mocha looking ones, especially if its a hatchling. But if it is in fact a lavender, it will definitely look lavenderish in color, nothing like the OP's 1st snake.

Ok, cool. Well, I got my Lavender at the Reptile Expo here in Utah back in October-ish? Somewhere around there. The guy I bought him from had him labeled as a Lavender. I've had people comment on him and say he looks more like a Ghost hatchling, so initially I was worried. But the bigger the little guy gets, the more lavender-ish he gets, so I think I didn't get bamboozled. I hope. LOL!

Odysseus didn't look very "mocha" when I got him, though. He looked more pale lavender. But a mocha Corn would be awesome, in my opinion. Thanks for the clarification, BA.
