I was going to ask about his markings, they are really odd! He's got HUGE ears!!! So cute!

A Triamese is not just hooded. It pertains to all white marked Siamese.

Sorry for double posting! I tried to edit my post but...took too long it seems!

A Triamese is not just hooded. It pertains to all white marked Siamese btw.

The problem with a Triamese or white marked Siamese is that they change during shed, are random and it would be difficult to judge the patterns.
The original intention for breeding a Siamese is to create an elegant gradient complimenting the darkened (colder) ends of the animal.
It's meant to be smooth and streamlined. The Triamese, while still fracken adorable, disturbs this greatly and defeats this ideal and follows none of it's own. I don't think it's that the clubs won't change because they don't feel like it, I believe it's because the Triamese is still very random and no one really knows how to judge it other than build. It's very difficult. Im all for it though, that's just my thoughts on the clubs. :B

Yeah, right now they are pretty random. I didn't even realize that my female was a "triamese" until about a week ago. When she was born, she didn't have very dark points on her nose or ears. She just had a cream colored hood that seemed to get darker just past her shoulders. It was the oddest thing. But then as she's aged, she has grown much darker around her nose and ears, but the hood seems to stay that soft cream color. I'm definitely going to breed her to Handsome Rob to see what I get. Would be interesting to see more of these.

btw, thanks Isis! His ears are just the cutest, in my opinion. I love Dumbos and am glad I finally got around to getting one.

    Re: Handsome Rob

I WANTTTTT a dumbo so badly.
I'm not willing to buy it from any stores near me. Most treat their rats terribly, it's not uncommon to see them dead in the feeder bins too. A rex siamese dumbo. Ooohhh!

    Heres some irony for you:
I bred my female siamese to a rex male and planned to breed her back to her son for both the rex and siamese genes. While her Het boy was growing I bred a different and my main male to a female for feeders purely. I thought both the male and female only carried albino and I was really at a cross roads. This male was my favorite, his kids are always great and he is just so sweet. However I had no room and really wanted to continue for siamese. I ended up with his albino son for making himis and held onto him because I was stalling. As the albino son grew older he shed into a SIAMESE. Im so glad too, now I can keep his Daddy and get rid of that Het siamese whose turning into a jerk!
