substrate?

Hello,
I'm a newbie here... I have been lurking for a while, but haven't posted anything. My bf is a member, and loves this forum.
OK, now my question, my bf and I recently went to a show and got two cresties!!! (Whooo...omg they are sooooo cute!!!! :-) ) We are looking to make a substrate for them but can't seem to find pesticide/fertilizer free soil...any ideas on where we could find some?

How about damp peat moss? They won't be spending much time on the substrate anyway. Just give them lots of stuff to climb/hide in and they'll be happy.

Ohh... ok the Datamation keeps hiding under the newspaper we have down now... Can we get the moss at a pet store? Or are we better off at home depot?

Home Depot should be fine. Just check the packaging, but I'm pretty sure most peat moss doesn't have any additives.

I use Eco earth bedding (it's compress coconut fiber), looks very nice for a display enclosure.

coconut fiber on its own works great.

I personally just use paper towels.

I just use paper towels easy to clean plus you can tell for sure if there eating as u can see there poop lol
