    Tank problems

Well I got everything set up and the BP in the tank.
I have a 20gal long tank with locking metal screen top. MEdium sized uth on hot side as well as his hide on the hot side.

I have a decent sized branch/log that he loves to climb on and bask on.A 75 watt basking bulb and fixture on the cool side as well as his water bowl and plastic bowl with spagnum moss in it.

I put the moss in the bowl under the lamp side hoping it will boost humidity but it isn't working to good lol.
I bought a light dimmer for the uth to plug into and a accu rite thermo stat from walmart. I use repti bark for his hot side since it really holds the heat and I use cypress mulch on the cool side to help with the humidity.

I have the uth set to 94/95 with the light dimmer and he has a little bit of bedding on top of it.If I put a decent amount of beeding ontop the uth he just moves out the way so I set it up at 94 and barely any bedding.

On the cool side the temps are 82-88 all day long.Humidity tho goes from 38% to 60%. The moss seems to not do any good with the humidity and I have to mist the tank twice a day.

If you guys have input here I would appreciate it.He is in shed now so he is just relaxing in his hide all day.He is due to eat tomorrow but it's gonna wait til next week

sorry my pc took a crap so I cant check your responses til this time tomorrow.I will be back tho hoping you can help.

I read the shed guide and it seems like I have a good 10 days left before he is done shedding. I had to move him once to change his water bowl out and he was not nippy at all. He is just a little guy maybe 18inches long but he is pretty nice and hasnt struck at me once.

Take a towel and get it wet (not dripping), fold it so it covers about 2/3 of the screen top or a little more. Just make sure you leave enough space between the towel and lamp to avoid a fire hazard. Just re-wet the towel as needed...

Your temps are a little high? Try 80 on the cool side 90 on the warm side.

And cover 3/4s of the screen top to keep the humidity in. Some people use foil, I've got plastic wrap taped. Some people use plexiglass. Some people use damp towels.
