    Re: Snake seizeure in washington

Vancouver’s Shumway is in Washington, from what I have looked up.

The Canadian Vancouver is about 300 miles away.

And I agree with VYP....kids have the best intentions....but they do talk. Well who knows...the law is soooooo left up to interpretation upon whichever individual is using it. At least that is how I read it. He could have all the proper permits and they did not do their homework...so time will tell. I am pretty sad though that these animals were well cared for and taken by individuals that perhaps do not know how to take care of them. Doesn't negate if he broke the law though...(just as a disclaimer).

    Re: Snake seizeure in washington

The man was not arrested, but officers said they plan to send their reports to prosecuting attorneys for possible charges of illegal snake and alligator possession, and possible permit violations.
from articla I guessing that part of it was th illegal vemonous snakes, the gator, and the possible permit violations. I say if he just moved there recently he can play dumb and gett off with a warning and lost of the illegal reptiles ( possible get the other reptiles back) and a fine.

It not surpising that so amny people have a snake illegally since i know noone ever bothers to check for permits or turn the info in like thelaw requires. in such cases.
