Salmonella
Granted, all snakes carry it, but what's the likelihood of someone actually getting sick? The HSUS continues to bring up that fact, to raise their standing on the "issue", but, in all honesty, I haven't heard of a single snake-related case regarding salmonella.
Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but could someone give me some facts? Opinions? Should I stop kissing my ball python? lol
Thanks, guys!

Re: Salmonella
If you search the archives, there was recently a poll on who on the forum has actually gotten the infection. Its nice because there are a ton of responses and you can also see the poll results. Look in the archives, it wasn't that long ago.

in the 15+ years I had reptiles I never gotten it and I had iguanas that eat off my play with me ( cause mine was not his plate I guess) I been biten crapped on , puked on and never had a problem ( outside a rare tooth breaking off under the skin. ) I gotten sick more eating MCd's food than anything over the years.
