What would you get?
Hey, at the moment I have a young female normal and I am looking at getting a morph. What should I go for? Im not sure what I want to breed at the moment but was thinking of something that is versatile so I dont have to make my mind up.
What would be a good morph to get? and also what sex? I was thinking spider, pastel or a mojo.
What would you suggest? (can be a different one that the ones I have said)
thanks

Re: What would you get?
Get what you like and what you can afford. If possible I'd try and go for a double co-dom. So maybe a bumble bee, or a pastave or something like that. If its out of your price range, then any of the ones you suggested are great morphs to start out with.

Would it be a good idea to get a male pastel and a female spider? That way I could breed for bumblebee (I think) and then also have 2 morphs I can mix with others seperatly.

Yes the spider and pastel would get you some bumblebees .Then chose what else you like.

Yeah thats cool. That way I can mix the pastel and spider seperatly.
Does it matter what sex each one is?

I would get the pastel as female. there for when you produce a Bee you can then breed a male bee back to the pastel for some killerbees

Re: What would you get?
If you're not sure on breeding and just want morphs, I would suggest getting all females for now. It will likely be 2-3 years before you can actually breed them, unless you buy adults which cost quite a bit more. If you decide next year that you do want to breed them, you can get males as they are ready for breeding much faster. If you don't end up breeding then their sex doesn't really matter and you have two beautiful snakes.
Also one male later can breed with many females.

Re: What would you get?
Thanks for the help
I deffo want to breed them im just not 100% sure what morph I would like to aim for in the breeding. So I was thinking of getting some basic morphs to keep my options open. Im most likely going to pick up a female pastel in a few weeks. They have them for £250 at CPR so I will go there if anything.

Another thing I have been thinking is maybe breeding for clowns? They have 100% het clown pairs at CPR for £495. Im just wondering, do you think it would be worth it? Clowns are one of my fav morphs and I think they are often overlooked, But I dont have £2000 to spend on one at the moment lol

OK now I am thinking of getting a female yellowbelly. That way I can have a few options, breed to a lesser for red spectrum balls (is that right?) breed to a YB for ivorys.
Im just wondering, Do YBs look different from normals in any way?
