    Breeding Question

this is my 1st breeding year, I am pairing a male cinny to 2 LARGE females, 3 days on 3 days off schedule since halloween.

I have been getting locks consistently for the past 6 weeks (every time). However the last two rotations, one of the large females shows no more interest in the male.......Is this normal, is she finished? possibly ovulating?
The other pair is still locking up strong.

    Re: Breeding Question

You will notice when she is ovulating a large lump will appear in mid body and that is when she is ovulating... She may be about to ovulate i would take her out of the rotation and try to feed her and see what happens... I know my females are gravid when they refuse food... Good luck

    Re: Breeding Question

Im in a similar situation to you on this. I had a 2.5kg female that i started to put my male with back in August. I had a lock everytime i put them together and literally around 2 weeks after i put the male in for the first time She went off food and hasnt eaten since. Now the male isnt interested in the slightest. She has been in the cool end of the viv for around 2 months and now she's in shed is always coiled in the warm end. i have also seen her lying inverted

I have not seen an ovulation and cant feel follicles. I guess the point im trying to get at is even with all these signs (which depending on where you read scream out building or gravid) i just still have no diffinative proof. These snakes are so confusiing but one HELL of alot of Fun
