    high white genetics?

hi guys. im new here and from germany, so please apologize if my english is not always on point as it should be. i gotta question about the high white genes (spider, calico, piebald ...). so i wanna know if high white animals produce high white babys and low white animals produce low white babys? or if both can produce everything. i mean could a low white spider or calico produce a high white babies?

hope u understand me and know what i mean.
    thanx

But if Im not mistaken, the pied's are all random. Low white throw high white babies and highs throw lows. In the pied's case its not about what the parents look like, just luck of the draw!

    Re: high white genetics?

As far as Pieds go, as long as it carries the gene and is in fact a Pied (not talking ringers), you can own a 10% white and produce a 90% white from it. So the amount of white is not predictable from what I have been told by every breeder I have talked to about this topic.

    Re: high white genetics?

i was thinking to buy a calico and pair him with my pastave. so my acually question is: if i want to get nice calico pastves with white sides, do i need to buy a expensiv calico with high white sides or would i have the chance to get "nice" calico pastaves with a cheaper low white calico / almost no white calicos?

    Re: high white genetics?

I know especially with Calico's that the low white ones make high white babies. This has been proving with TSK Calicos and such. There is actually a thread on here that explains calicos and such.
