Let me know what you think

So today i go to my feed store to get rodent food and this guy walks in that I know quite well. He has this snake and is trying to give it to the store because he no longer wants it. The store keeps no animals at all so the guy comes to me and offers it so I take it home sight unseen... Well I get home open the bag that it was in and notive first that it appears to be a really scared snake but when I looked closer it appears now to be a shatter, time will tell, and the snake is VERY light colored almost like an adult axanthic. I pop it and its a female to I pop again and still female so I probe and yup female. So here are the pics.

Sorry I suck at taking pics.

Congrats on the pickup. The pattern by the tail does look unusual, but pic #4 makes it look like an old injury or burn. Other than that she looks pretty good. If it is a pattern and not an injury, it looks like she could be a good dinker.

Thanks Lawrence. I took a VERY close look at that area and that is pattern all the way. There is one tiny little scar on the lower jaw but other than that nothing else wrong with this girl. Oh and to top it off she weighs 2036 grams.

Well time will only tell. I am going to breed her out and see what I get. The markings near the tail match up with every shatter pattern I have ever seen and she also has the chin spot that I found inthe hunters guide. But again I do have to breed her out and see what I get.

Nice find! Her light color is not the important part--plenty of normals are that light or even lighter. The pattern near her tail is interesting--I hope it proves genetic for you, and isn't discoloration due to some minor past injuries.

Re: Let me know what you think

Couple things. First I know she is as of right now a normal I just said she appears she could be something. Next the scales near the tail are perfectly normal in every way except coloration. I will be breeding her out and see what I get if anything. If not I still have another breeder female.

Thanks for all the input though.
