Tried my new light box I made

Here are a few pics I took in my light box. I took them with my new Canon Rebel xsi SLR. All comments are welcome. I am just learning how to do this.

That's probably the most simple light box I have ever seen, yet it works extremely well. Thanks for the awesome idea LOL, I think I wanna try that out. Great photos BTW, and beautiful snake

One is a Pastel and the other is a Fire. After I took the pics I put them in Gimp, went to color, then auto, then hit white balance. That was it, other than cropping. The box is just a Dell computer box, and the paper is from Walmart (poster board). And of course two lights that are reveal 100 watt bulbs. I think I might try using florescent bulbs.

Nicely done If you want to get rid of the shadows you can mount the lights above the box.... Cut out the top of the box and cover with a white t-shirt....the lights will be above the shirt......they will still go thru and shadow reduction is achieved.

My home-made box is similar to yours...only difference is I used white shirts to cover top and sides and direct light in from above and both sides...

    Great pics

The bulbs are regular household bulbs. They are REVEAL 100 watt bulbs from Walmart. Some of the pics don't come out as bright as others. I think I might try some florescent bulbs, and some bulbs on the sides.
