Feedings

Hey there, I have fed my new BP live prey for first times and I am trying to feed frozen because I have to leave for a little while around my snakes feed day and no one is willing to feed live for me but he blatinly avoided the pre killed mouse.
Should I just keep trying or stick to the live prey and feed a couple days later then usual?

I would keep him on live for a couple of months before trying frozen! Once he will eat the live prey when you are just holding it in the tank then he will probaly eat frozen without a problem! Snakes can go a long time without eating so a couple days later won't hurt him!

Did you try pre-killed or frozen thawed? Do you pre-scent the room when feeding?

Umm thawed I was just told to put the mouse in warm water for a bit until the chest was soft then used a blowdryer to warm up the mouse right by the tank. My snake seemed interested when I was doing this and as sson as I dangled the mosue infront of it it just avoided the mouse

You could try leaving the f/t feeder in the tank with the snake for a few hours and see if he just eats it on his own.

I had left it for a good a long time atleast 2 n half hours

Don't feed it for a week, then put a live mouse on it's cage for a few hours. After this get some tongs and wave the f/t in front of it's face, but don't scare it. Try this a few times. It will usually work.

I would wait until dark warm it up again and try to dangle it for him if that doesn't work leave it in with him over night right in front of the hide he uses most. If he doesn't eat it throw it away in the morning and try again after 5 to 7 days.
