    Question feedin mode?

I've recently purchased my first bp. I bought him exactly one week ago at this time and date. He was a month old when i got him. he had just a medium sized rat right when i got him. his belly has went down since and today he is moving all around the cage and im wondering if this is because he is hungry or is this just because he is use to his enclosure now. The seller told me to give him another that size in 10 days but i wanted to get smaller and more often feeding schedule PLEASE HELP!!!!

I don't think it was a medium size rat! Maybe a medium size mouse. There is no way that a one month old ball can eat a medium size rat! My 4.5 month old eats 2 rat pups. Here is a size chart http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/feede...ize-chart.html. I would feed a rat fuzzy every 5 days!

    Re: feedin mode?

I feed my babies every 4 days so at one week he should be nice and hungry.
Dont feed him anything bigger then the widest part of his body.

    Re: feedin mode?

At one moth old I would feed it a meal about as wide as the widest part of its body every 5 days. and go to a 7 day schedule when it starts to refuse the 5 day schedule.

baby ball pythons are capable of taking a full grown mouse, or rat pup. Some will look at it and just think wow to big.... But a rat fuzzy to a rat pup every 4 or 5 days would be a good plan in my oppenion.... I would not even begin to feed medium rats till approx 6-700 grams.
