    Rasing Humidity in Tubs

I didn't have a problem with humidity in the summer. But now that winter has come, and the furnace has turned on, my humidity has dropped. My female normal now has some retained shed. (First time I've ever had a shed problem). Would cypress mulch raise my humidity? I currently am using aspen. I tried a humid hide for her, but it really didn't raise the overall humidity as much as I'd like.

Cypress will help. The Cypress I use holds humidity pretty well.

There are several things you can do. I would start with covering up a few holes on each end of the tub. You can also use a wider water bowl. If you can fix the problem any other way besides the substrate you'll be way ahead of the humidity game.

A dab of hot glue in a few holes should raise the humidity.

My tubs in winter stay around 45-50 in winter. As long as you can keep it high during sheds youll have no problem.
