    converting to F/T

    I jumoed right into ball pythons you can say. I have 1.1 and I am trying to convert them over the f/t. Any suggestions?

    Here are some links to threads on doing this. A couple of things to remember is DO NOT put them in the microwave or let them boil in water. Using microwaves or thawing too fast will give you a big mess to clean up...
    You will find that there are alot of different methods and techniques and you will have to find out what works for each snake. Good Luck...

    BG wants to learn how to "jumoed". Although he thinks he may have "jumoed" to Ball Pythons years ago.

    Next time you buy live..... wait an extra week. Then place the live critter next to the cage for a few hours. Try and feed it a nice warm f/t when it's looking for that live one outside the cage. This works well.

    what i did was take mine off of food for a week then then offer f/t and worked like a charm
    1.0 Normal ball python
    and my other animals 1.1 dogs

    I followed the method in the eight-balls feeding video and it worked like a charm. I am fairly new to the hobby, and my pastel male came to me eating live mice. (He was being underfed by his previous owner). I converted him to F/T rats with no problem using the methods shown in that video. I'd watch that and then try that method. Both of mine have yet to refuse a meal.
