first attempt at building, and using, a light tent!

so today i went to home depot and got some things to make a light-tent! some pvc pipe, a white sheet, and some small clip-lamps. this is my first attempt and let me tell you it was far from perfect, but i'm hoping to get some more supplies soon.

i don't think i had enough lights, nor the right type but, i was going for cheap for starters. so the background turned out more grey than white, and to make it white i upped the exposure a bit in photoshop. so unfortunately, the snakes are not quite that bright in real life! but very close.

    here goes:

first up, our female het. pied, Peanut! she was a mere 85g when we picked her up. not sure on her weight now though, must be nearing 150g.

i know this one is terribly out of focus, but it was just too cute NOT to post!

and this is our male spider, Arthas

here is one of the first corns we hatched, Winifred! she is an anerythristic, and is 66% possible het. for amel!

and last but certainly not least, my female pastel, Sage!

    thanks for lookin' guys!

so, this is my first try, comments and critique welcome! (either on the snakes, or on the photo technique!)

and sorry, i know this is the BP forum but there's a corn in there too. i hope you will forgive me.

The first few look over-saturated. Then the last few look like you're getting the hang of it. Good job!

thanks guys! and yeah they look over-saturated because i had to up the exposure to get the background white, i think next time with different lights will be better.

looking at that last one again, of my female pastel, she looks MONSTROUS in that photo! it's misleading though, she's really only about 600grams.
