Looking for reptile related work/volunteering in downtown Toronto
Here's the deal. I love reptiles, but I can't keep any right now because I'm away at University of Toronto, and I'm moving back to Taiwan in two years after graduation. When I moved from Vancouver to Toronto for university, I had to give away my bearded dragon that I've kept since middle school. Even though I found the perfect owner to him give to, it was still really hard, and I don't want to go through any like that again. I'm going to get a ball python when I moved back, but right now, I really miss having reptiles around.
So my girlfriend suggested I should work at a pet store so I can be around some reptiles all the time. But I know working at a pet store can be really painful if you know that the animals are not getting the proper care and treatment, and there's not too much you can do about it.
I live in downtown Toronto, I was wondering if anyone knows any decent pet stores or maybe animals shelter that specializes in reptiles in this area. I'm looking for a part time or volunteer work. I really want to help with a breeder whether professional or not. I know Markus Jayne is based in Toronto, but anywhere other than downtown is quite an commute for me. However, I would love to work or volunteer there anyways.
So if you guys know or have any good opportunities for me, I would be really grateful.
