    Het question

I have a male pastel 100% het. hypo. I also have a female spider (no known hets). If/when I breed these two to try producing bees...how do I determine if any of the offspring are het. hypo. and at what %?

    I appreciate the help!

they would be 50% poss het and the only way to tell the hets from the non-hets is to breed them and prove them out.

50% poss for all offspring? So that would mean each snake has a 50% chance of being het hypo?

yep each snake has 50/50 odds of being het hypo, only you wont be able to tell which is which till you breed them. and you may have to breed them several times b4 they get proved out, cuz even if they are a het you still only have 50% odds of them passing the gene on again. its a FUN process

    Re: Het question

Thanks guys! i'm starting to understand this genetic stuff. i figure I have another season or two until my snakes are ready to breed, so I might as well learn as much as I can until then.
