    Columbia, SC Show: A Zoo

For everyone who missed it...it was a pretty big show, nearly a hundred vendors, but anyone who was there vending can verify that despite the good turnout, people were there to look and not really to make purchases. Here is a picture of our table and of an adorable group of girls who wanted to hold everything. It's nice to see young girls take such an interest in snakes! They were holding one each of (right to left) a cinny, mojave, pied, and leucistic (with my overprotective teenaged daughter overseeing everything, of course).

It was great to meet Michael Joliff (a real sweetie), Tim Lane (our new bud), Charles Cardell, Tim Koppenhoffer, Eric Lago, and all of the great folks from Fat Boy's, ssnakess, Lowcountry Exotics, Chameleon Kingdom, Big Fat Geckos, McGhee Reptiles, Soggy Bottom Serpents, and a bunch of others.

Unfortunately, sales were low, although we did find new homes for 14 ball pythons, most to other vendors. We also picked up a rainbow boa, a caramel albino male, a spider het caramel female, and a pair of double het albino x caramel albinos (thanks Tim).

All in all, it was a good time. The weather was great, and the folks from Repticon and USARK were phenomenal! Again, thanks for all you do.

About this Tim Lane...I got a pair of what was supposed to be 100% het pied balls but then i went on his web site and he had the same exact snakes on there but listed as 66% het pied balls(i matched up all the markings). He wont email me back and im pretty pissed off with this guy i feel like he ripped me off.

Man, I know Tim Lane personally, have been to his house, seen his collection many, many times, and I can guarantee you Tim doesn't even have any 66% Het Pied animals to sale. Tim has gotten to the point after 20+ years breeding that he rarely ever even deals with Hets anymore, and has mostly visual morph animals. All of Tims Pied projects come from his male Pied or his female Pied making all the offspring 100% Het. Tim doesn't do the updating on his site, his wife usually does the updating and I am sure that was just a typo listing them as 66% Het. Bashing someone on a public forum without first talking about the misunderstanding with the person in question isnt the correct way of handling the problem in my opinion. Tim WILL NOT avoid you, contact him at timlane@ballroompythons.com and he will explain the certain misunderstanding for you, I would bet anything in my collection on that. You can't go wrong dealing with Tim Lane and Ballroom Pythons.

    Welwood,
How did you try to contact me? My contact information is on my business card as well as on my website and I have not received any messages from you through email or by phone. I did realize that my email address had not been updated on my website since we changed email carriers, but my phone number has never changed. I have received numerous other calls and emails from people that I met at the Columbia show. If you had contacted me about this problem, I would have cleared things up for you. You are correct that my website did show your animals as 66% het for pied. However, that is Incorrect! My wife posts pics on the website for me and those pictures were posted under the incorrect heading. I just realized this problem when someone alerted me to your post in the forum. The animals that I sold to you at the Columbia show are definitely 100% het pied. As my website states, I guarantee all of my animals and if the ones you purchased do not prove out to be 100% het, I will refund ALL of your money and you can keep the animals. I do not EVER compromise the integrity of my animals just to make a dollar! My contact information is listed below. Please contact me immediately if you have any further questions about animals you have purchased from me.
    Thank you,
    Tim Lane
