Re: Underweight??
Are you sure thats what she weights? When I bought my Axanthic he has 1.2 years old and less than 300g but he started eating small rats (he was eating 1 mouse his whole life) and gained alot of weight.
What are you feeding her?

Re: Underweight??
One your know for sure the weight of snake and not guess. you will know the size of prey you should feed.
I dont start BPs on sm rats till their 600grams. From 300-600 i feed wean rats which are the size of breeder mice.

Re: Underweight??
Start with weaned rats, try and see if she will take 2, if it looks like 2 is too much wait untill she gains some weight and feed her 2. You should be able to tell when she can eat a small rat.

Re: Underweight??
Also if you have alot of mice, offer her 2 or even 3. But becareful with that. She might end up a mouser. See if she will eat rats when you have a chance to get some. But if you have mice now, Feed her 2 at least im sure she will take them.

Re: Underweight??
It's small for it's age, but not necessarily "underweight". If a Ball is not fed that much, it will grow slower but be perfectly healthy. So the answer to your question is yes....and no.

Like the others have mostly said, just because it is smaller at this point that others its age doesn't mean it isn't perfectly healthy. Does she look ok? Have good shape? No loose skin? Chances are, she's doing just fine.

You're slippin' BG. Not a single third person reference in this post.
