Is there a difference between hypo boas and pastel boas, or are they one and the same?

Re: What the heck are these?
There absolutely is, hypo is a codom genetic trait, and pastel is more of a description, like you'd say that you have a "reduced pattern" ball python. It's not NECESSARILY genetic, but definitely can be passed on to some degree. There are some lines of distinct pastel-looking boas out there, that being said, but it's not codominant like hypo, for sure. Your pair is gorgeous!

theres a very big difference
Pastels are selectively bred for the coloration and clean-ness
I think the term would be, polygenic?
Hypos are a co-dom trait.

Re: What the heck are these?
The one with the really skinny saddles looks like a possible Super hypo... you'd have to breed and prove it out though.

Re: What the heck are these?
The top one would be a Possible Super Hypo.
But both are for SURE Hypos.
